ADF and Copy Protection
Can protected floppies be saved and read as ADFs?
This question was asked here before, but it was probably too off-topic. I faintly remember that Xcopy was said to be able to copy protected floppies. So I imagined some low-level bit-by-bit scan would do the trick [to rescue protected floppies via adfRead], and the emulator could work on such an exact copy. But then, I have no idea how copy protection actually works on floppies... |

Hi gilgamesh,
here's a thread that is similar to your question : http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=39974 dlfrsilver and Supamax have quite some knowledge about making images of protected disks using extended ADFs. Also SPS can provide you with tools to make an image of a protected floppy Last edited by TCD; 13 January 2009 at 23:49. |
