Recommended DTC parameters for these titles?
I've been playing about with the DTC command-line tool quite a lot now, trying to get my head around understanding all the different settings.
Here is my current Amiga disk collection so far: Super All-Stars (Codemasters, 1992, compilation - AmigaDOS, DOS-readable, copylock on both disks) Rockstar Ate My Hamster (Codemasters, 1989 - AmigaDOS, DOS-readable, copylock) Switchblade (Gremlin, 1989, Kixx budget reissue 1991 - MFM) Carrier Command (Rainbird, 1988, Kixx budget reissue 1992/3/4? - AmigaDOS, NDOS, copylock) Amiga Computing #87, June 1995 - Speris Legacy (AmigaDOS, DOS-readable) Amiga Computing #96, Feb 1996 - Hillsea Lido (AmigaDOS, DOS-readable) Amiga Format #53, Dec 1993 - Uridium 2 (AmigaDOS, NDOS, presumed to use longtrack protection like in full version) Amiga Format #72, Jun 1995 - Virocop (AmigaDOS, NDOS, presumed to use longtrack protection like in full version) Amiga Power #45, Jan 1995 - Super Stardust (MFM) Amiga Power #58, Feb 1996 - Pinball Prelude (MFM) CU Amiga, Nov 1989 - Eco/Lost Patrol (AmigaDOS, DOS-readable) The One #29, Feb 1991 - Foundations Waste (Amiga/ST dual-format) The One #31, April 1991 - Brat (Amiga/ST dual-format) The One Amiga #58, July 1993 - Cannon Fodder (MFM) The One Amiga #59, Aug 1993 - Trex Warrior (MFM) The One Amiga #62, Nov 1993 - Uridium 2 (AmigaDOS, NDOS, presumed to use longtrack protection like in full version) The One Amiga #64, Jan 1994 - Zool 2/Beetle (AmigaDOS, DOS-readable) The One Amiga #68, May 1994 - Mr Nutz/Clockwiser/Ouch!/Tanx'n'Stuff (AmigaDOS, DOS-readable) The One Amgia #68, May 1994 - Banshee/Waggle-O-Mania 2/Smidge (AmigaDOS, DOS-readable) The One Amiga #70, July 1994 - Sensible Soccer International/Out To Lunch (AmigaDOS, DOS-readable) The One Amiga #70, July 1994 - Empire Soccer/Quik The Thunder Rabbit (AmigaDOS, DOS-readable) The One Amiga #72, Sep 1994 - Dragonstone (AmigaDOS, NDOS, strange format? (Tracks alternate between "unformatted" and "AmigaDOS Extended")) Demon Wars (Amiga Fun?) Cloud Kingdoms Demo Disk (Millennium, 1990 - AmigaDOS, NDOS) Flimbo's Quest Demo Disk (System 3, 1990 - MFM) Ivanhoe Demo Disk (Ocean, 1990 - AmigaDOS, NDOS) James Pond U.A. Demo Disk (Millennium, 1990 - MFM) Kid Gloves Demo Disk (Millennium, 1990 - MFM) Last Ninja 3/Fuzzball Demo Disk (System 3, 1991 - AmigaDOS, DOS-readable) Mr Blobby Demo Disk (Millennium, 1994 - AmigaDOS, NDOS) Rock 'n Roll Demo Disk (Rainbow Arts, 1989 - MFM) Shadow of the Beast II Demo Disk (Psygnosis, 1990 - MFM) Troddlers Demo Disk (Storm, 1992 - AmigaDOS, DOS-readable) Worms Demo Disks (Team 17, 1995 - AmigaDOS, DOS-readable) I also have one Atari ST disk: ST Action Coverdisk 41 - Lure of the Temptress Demo I've tried to see if I can make any IPFs out of MFM titles with mfmparse but it doesn't appear to like the format (unformatted), even though I used stream files and tried one of the MFM format options in DTC. Neither the manual, nor the quickstart guide, nor any Google results appear to show tons of examples of how to deal with specific formats correctly. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

We can't support mfmparse, please ask the author. The correct command line to dump STREAM files guided is on the KryoFlux forums, and you will be helped there.
I just don't want to fragment answers, hence the dedicated forums for this. |

Hi, I don't come on here very often, so it's pure luck I saw this question! In general, PM me as well as posting here, then I get an email notification to come check things out.
Anyway, PM me and I can probably help. I would have thought that some of the disks you list would be AmigaDOS and hence mfmparse should 'just work' on them. Others, you would undoubtedly have to send me STREAM dumps from kryoflux/dtc, and I would analyse them and add support to mfmparse for them. Oftentimes that doesn't take me long, if I can find the time to take a look! |

Thanks man, I will do that for this thread now, however of course I need to know about the thread first. It's just I don't lurk here much. Can you subscribe to a whole forum, or get a digest? Project.SPS seems quite low volume. |

Cannon Fodder demo disk probably needs 'mfmparse --format=sensible'. For other MFM disks try 'mfmparse --format=probe' which will try out most supported track formats.
