Kickstart roms and winuae 2.8...

I have Windows 7 installed, and verison 2.5.1 recognizes my (original) rom files while version 2.8.1 doesn't (2.7. didn't either) ... did I miss something?

Really? 100% sure it was the only change you did? It makes no sense because files without extensions are ignored when looking for rom files.

Not if you click browse and select the file manually.

All my ROMs have ".rom" file extension except for aros#?.bin.
WinUAE (v2.8.0) shows them all, as all other versions did before.
So, to rename them is not a trick at all.
I think config has been screwed up.

Set ROM selection file dialog to show all files. (Last setting is remembered)

I'd recommend detecting all roms using rom scanner and then using select menu, much faster.
