AlgoMusic best music generator on the Amiga

LoL

I have been playing around in AlgoMusic for the first time in 9 years, some of the samples kicks in just the right time makes for very funny tunes.

But now every tune start to sound the same, maybe listened too much?

Hi,

I wrote this thing back those days.

It would be cool if you could add some more AlgoMusic videos to YouTube (but with acid option on and free melody option off *g*).

Someone made a couple of AlgoMusic songs available in OGG format here: http://wnd.katei.fi/t/algomusic/

I just started working on a sequel to AlgoMusic called SoundHelix.

SoundHelix can be found here (no release yet, but sourcecode is available using SVN):

http://sourceforge.net/projects/soundhelix/

I'm looking for developers willing to contribute. Mail me at thomas@schuerger.com if you
are interested.

I'm glad you like good old AlgoMusic..

Well, SoundHelix is now written in Java, so it's platform independent...

The original, command line version (if I remember rightly) was the best. It got too complex I reckon.

Please make SoundHelix with a nice simple one or two clicks options

Song name creation is still on my to-do list for SoundHelix.

Other than that, it already works quite well...

Wow never heard about algomusic before but now I just checked your SoundHelix channel and it sounds REALLY impressive! The programming it requires must be pretty deep and complex. One thing is sure, you know and understood the roots of trance music to be able to create a software randomly creating tunes, that's quite astonishing to be honest..

Putting down something as abstract and artistical as music into algorithms and functions is intellectually really interesting. As a DJ and globally an electronic music enthusiast I fill follow this project closely! Bring more info!

I am hoping to get a compiled version of this for x64 ASAP, just need someone to grab the source and do it, maybe make a GUI. I just gotta keep waiting i guess, its worth it, this project will blow AlgoMusic outta the water... Its generating great tunes already and is a great boon for people wanting some simple tunes for games etc.

This app didn't work in OS3.9
Every time I trid to run it, I got a "Comment Error" on the samples... No, I didn't add any new samples. Tried to run AlgoMusic with the "SAFE" option, as suggested - same error pops up.

Time to install 3.1, I'm tired of 3.9 already, no big gain!
