redirecting error output to a file

program > file

redirects standard output

program 2> file works only with pdksh (maybe csh, or is it >& )

Is there a way to redirect error output on a standard amiga system (without too many Unix-world tools & environments) ?

And, unlike in linux it is not possible to redirect stdout and stderr to the same file

As in:

./myProgram 1>output 2>&1

?
