First you need to use this tool to convert the tiled xml file to binary:
http://www.gamephase.net/tiled-to-binary-converter/ Let me know if it works |

I think now it needs some "hotspot" when you fire a shot, look what happens: when i shoot right seems ok. When i shoot left the shot is behind the player
So something is definitely wrong here. |

To me it looks ok but the character / enemy sprites are way too small given the rest of the visible screen...
I mean, why have sooooo much "sky"? Anyway, only my opinion. |

This is not a working project, just a test from some graphics from opengameart.com. I know the graphics are too small, probably only suitable for a gameboy game.

And how to make the necessary format of tiles and background? I took a picture in the .png format and converted it into the "Tile Map Editor" into .tmx format, then in "Tiled to Binary Converter" I convert to .bin and RedPill gives an error message when I select tiles in this format.
UPD! XnConvert helped(Amiga .iff). Last edited by Realsalewa; 15 June 2017 at 22:54. Reason: XnConvert(Amiga .iff) |

I have a problem with RedPill and my A4k (OS3.9).<br /><br />
RedPill no longer recognizes the fire buttons on my joysticks :-(<br /><br /> <br /><br /> All joysticks work smoothly with WHDLoad on the same computer.<br /><br /> <br /><br /> I copied the RedPill folder to my A600 (OS3.9) and everthing worked. But not on the A4k.<br /><br /> <br /><br /> What is the secret?Anyone has an idea?<br /> <br /> Update:<br /> When i use a JoyBoard with RedPill and when i switch to "Paddle" instead of "Joystick" and then back to "Joystick" instead of "Paddle" all is running fine.<br /> But after a reboot i have to repeat that.<br /> No chance to use another Joystick without "Paddle" control :-( Last edited by TheoTheoderich; 16 June 2017 at 19:56. |

Can we get a forum here or at amigacity for discussing developing with Redpill? Kind of hard with everything being in the same thread. If this thread was preserved for release info and another for devs i would be very happy
Now my other question: I'm trying to develop a game like frogger, where i want to move the player a certain amount of pixels each time they press one of the directions on the controller or keyboard. How would i do this? I have globals set up for the amount but i need help on how to change the position by that amount... |

Maybe you should make your own diarythread where you tell us about the progress at the same time you ask questions on how to do xyz...?

...I wish me (or any other Global Moderator) could make this happen, but alas, you will need to PM the boss man admin i.e. RCK. Point him to this thread and suggest that he creates a sub-section under project.Amiga Game Factory called RedPill or something along those lines Yup, if the above gets done you could open a thread for each game being developed in RedPill |

As I plan to start using redpill soon for a project and I'd like to ask for a few features if they're there or if it is planned to be included at some point:
1. Screen shake effect 2. Colour cycling 3. Simple bouncing physics, ie think of how frozen enemies are launched in Snow Bros and go down when hitting walls. Thx! |
