WB 3.1.4 Disk Labels

I just grabbed the digital download of 3.1.4 from Hyperion. It would be great to have some nice disk labels to go with it. Anyone have a recommendation?

Thanks. I can copy those 3.1.4 scans using GIMP, but I was hoping there were already high quality PDF's or something that could be printed.

Like these... https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&p...g5YzU2ZjFmZDVl

No doubt. I had considered that, but my OCD says that just isn't....correct.

Not being funny, but what else are you going to do?

It's clear that Hyperion have no interest in releasing disk labels; the OS upgrade has now been released for long enough now...

Since I like the asthetics of the version 2.0x disk labels, I started making my own based on those. In fact, might as well make v2.04 replacements, too.

you could of course use the official disk labels.

https://sordan.ie/product/608/workbe...---amiga-1200/

you just have to rebuy the ROMs.

Slightly off topic: out of curiosity given the choice which hardware would be better for 3.1.4 - a Stock A1200 with HDD or A500 (with ACA500plus)?

Sorry to burst your bubble:

There were no "official" labels for floppies in 3.1.4. Each vendor probably made their own to add value to their offerings.

Someone needs to have a word with Sordan then, as their advert is misleading ...

"6x original Hyperion disks labels ONLY, without floppy disks!"

I have created a full set of labels (8 not 6) for AmigaOS 3.1.4 in lossless vector format:

https://amigaposters.github.io/recre...sk-labels.html

Please note that these labels were recreated from scratch based on the ones (official or unofficial) offered by some of the resellers, solely with the aim to help the community!

Thanks, what labels are you using to print these?

Since it is now quite difficult and probably expensive to purchase floppy disk labels, my intention was to use A4 sheets of self adhesive/sticky printing paper (just make sure what you choose is suitable for your printer). Then you can simply cut the labels using scissors or a sharp knife and transfer them to the disks.

That's interesting to hear, since it appears that every vendor that had floppies available was using an identical same design, despite using different floppy disks. And the sets I've seen were definitely not a simple print onto some Avery labels - they were professionally printed onto a plastic substrate. Yes, that's easy to get done too, but there seems to be a single source for all the labels (whether Hyperion or elsewhere), so I had assumed it was the same source as the installation booklet they come with (which was also professionally printed and looks identical across different vendors).
