Do you have to create a new standard disk for each save or can you overwrite?

Hey there,

I eventually figured how to save and load games in Secret of Monkey Island with WinUAE by creating a standard disk, and inserting it into DF0 when i want to load/save.

My one brief question is, do i have to create a new standard disk to save each game progress, or can i overwrite the one save name and standard disk every time?

Thanks in advance,

And i love Amiga games.... the music and images bring back so many memories of my early childhood. We had a shoebox full of games!

You should be able to have multiple saves on one disk. Just choose a different save slot in Monkey Island.

Hi Ronsputin and welcome to EAB!

You can use the same disk again and different slots for your games. Just click on another slot to the left once you clicked on save. You could also use WinUAE's savestate feature to save your game. Press F12 ingame and go to the 'Miscellcneous' panel. There you find the buttons 'Load State...' and 'Save State...'. Might be even a bit more convenient this way
