Amiga CD32 + SX-1

I have managed to get hold of a SX-1 for my Amiga CD32. It has a 4mb simm installed and I will shortly obtain a floppy drive for it.

I have installed is and what I wanted to know is, does the startup screen change when you install the SX-1 or does it boot to the Amiga CD32 logo screen as before.

When I get a floppy will I be able to boot from that? Well it check floppies first before CD's?

Thanks

Heys jimbo,

okay theres no startup change on cd32 unless you have a harddrive installed. you should be able to hold the both mouse buttons to select boot from floppy (df0)

I dont have a SX-1 but i got a diskdrive attached to my CD32. It does automatic registration when a disk is inserted as long as there is no cd in it so selecting boot device might not be needed, at least not in my case

How did you attach a floppy to your CD32?

Maybe he built his own floppy controller?

http://main.aminet.net/hard/hack/cd32_floppy.lha

Looks pretty difficult with hard soldering....

Thumbs up

I use a rare custom hardware addon made in Poland which attaches to the back like a SX-1 but its much smaller and adds 1 Diskdrive and a Video Port

Can you give us a link for that? I'd love to get RGB from my CD32 and df0: wouldn't hurt either
