Calling all C coders, help me finish an Amiga game! - Game now finished!
Ok I've almost finished an updated port of DOTT, the only problem is that the original PC game uses MIDI files for it's music whereas I only have a MUS file player. MUS and MIDI are almost identical (MUS is just a cut-down MIDI format) so it should be relatively easy for a competent C coder to knock something out for me
I want to do this in runtime (during startup), so pre-converting them is not an option. References: MUS format MIDI format MUS libs included source MIDI Spec I'm coding in GCC BTW. Last edited by NovaCoder; 02 April 2010 at 23:07. |

you could look at reviewing MIDI2MUS source code it is in most the DooM Ports including the Amiga I believe. just watch out for the Big-Endian |

Wow this is an old thread
I had to give up on doing this in realtime as the only MIDI2MUS convertor that I could find was written in (badly) in assembler for MSDOS. |
