iComp ACA500Plus revision differences
Apparently the ACA500Plus now has a new revision; so aside from a larger led display and an updated CPU (SEC000@21MHz vs EC000@14MHz) is there any other substantial difference in the hardware? Also, if my Rev1 card can handle 21Mhz (it can handle 42MHz, actually) will it perform the same as the Rev2?

I can't see anything on the icomp.de website or support pages that suggest there is any real difference. It still says supported only up to 21MHz with options to OC to 28 & 42MHz.
If the new chip comes at 21MHz stock then maybe there is more chance of stability at 42MHz? |

Both boards come at 14MHz but the new chip is guaranteed to OC to at least 21MHz (whereas the old one had no OC guarantee..) My old revision board OCs to 42MHz just fine but I use it at 21MHz daily. I was curious about whether there was any other difference than this but apparently not? |

Just to be clear, is there any actual mention of an update (i.e. Rev2 writing for example) on the board itself?

Well.. this is the only only image I can find of the new board; Bigger LED display, button placement is different, and says (c) 2013-2018 instead of (c) 2013-2016.. |

Looks like the board I got a few weeks ago. Good news.

Thanks, I think I need to check/compare with mine, that I purchased last year.
If I'm not mistaken processors on this accelerator board are sold as used, so I was wondering whether the differences went far beyond that (i.e. it could just be that at that time Jens only had a stock of 21MHz instead of the 14 one, but what about the board itself?) |

I'm getting +/- 1447 Dhrystones and 1.51 Mips with SysInfo v3.24 with the ACA500plus I received a couple of weeks ago (which looks like the one in your picture)
