Miracle Piano Teaching System
Hi,
(Hope this is in the correct section. Even though an educational aid there are many games included using the keyboard as a controller) I have had since new the fantastic Miracle Piano Teaching System costing £300 when new. To give you an idea of what the hell im talking about it can be seen here http://static.gamesradar.com/images/...icle_image.jpg It comes as you can see from link with MIDI compatible velocity sensitive keyboard etc. I still have the lot but would give anything to be able to use this with WinUAE. Would this be even possible? The keyboard links up to the Amiga via the parallel port. If it is possible does anyone have the disks in .adf format? |

Hey Kola,
I've uploaded a file to The Zone! named "Miracle Piano Teaching System, The (19xx)(Software Toolworks, The).rar" which contains the following: ... Miracle Piano Teaching System, The (19xx)(Software Toolworks, The)(Disk 1 of 3)[cr CSL].adf ... Miracle Piano Teaching System, The (19xx)(Software Toolworks, The)(Disk 1 of 3)[cr QTX].adf ... Miracle Piano Teaching System, The (19xx)(Software Toolworks, The)(Disk 2 of 3)[cr CSL].adf ... Miracle Piano Teaching System, The (19xx)(Software Toolworks, The)(Disk 3 of 3)[cr CSL].adf I also moved the thread from the "req.Old Rare Games" section --> the "req.Apps" section as it's probably better suited there |

@ DamienD - I use this app on my A1200 daily still to this day. You have no idea how much it means for me to be able to run this on win UAE. Honestly m8, a huuge thanks!!!
Only one snag I can see. How would I hook my Miracle keyboard to my WinUAE PC? |

Im wondering if I can hook it up by MIDI as the miracle keyboard has MIDI ports and I have a USB to MIDI interface fitted to my PC.
Have to get something like med working first over MIDI so if miracle didn't work and MED did Id know it was not MIDIs fault as its proved working with the tracker software MED. Just thinking out loud but please join me anyone who has anything to add. One things for sure, if I get this working Ill update this thread to repay the board for helping me. Give me a few days or a week and I should be able to tell you all if this is a go or not. Than anyone with a similar Q in future may benefit, |

Hey vodley. Wondering why my miracle keyboard has MIDI in and outs then. Not saying your wrong at all just trying to hang onto hope as if I cant get miracle hooked up to UAE then I have to find somewhere to keep my space taking up Amiga and tv :/
You ever tried via parallel port or other? I am certain you can link the PC version up with a MIDI keyboard but finding the windows disks is hard. Theres no way im paying for them either when I forked out £300 on the amiga version many moons ago. Have a look at this link. Aimed mainly at PC version http://pianoeducation.org/pnompfaq.html |

Amiga Parallel port to PC parallel port connector?
Acquiring the windows version would be great.
Otherwise, I guess I need a parallel port card for my WinUAE PC, since the USB to DB25 are only working with printers, after a brief google search. (EDIT) I apologize for confusion from my parallel port remark. The Miracle! cable plugs into the Amiga serial port, not parallel ports. Last edited by vodley; 11 December 2008 at 00:13. Pardon me! Serial device, not Parallel
So maybe the DB9 & DB25 serial connnector I bought for amiga Explorer will be a help to me, since I have a legacy serial port on my desktop pc. Might need a gender changer.
I'll have to unbox that miracle keyboard and take a good look. |

It is highly unlikely any Amiga-only (is this Amiga-only?) hardware that connects to parallel port works with PC parallel port due to hardware differences/limitations.
Impossible to know without schematics. |

Hey Toni
No m8 it isn't Amiga only. Same keyboard gets used on the NES SNES Megadrive PC versions. Schematics are on the link I posted above. Its quite a text heavy page so just follow that link and search on "schematic" via your owm browsers search function. (IE Firefox view > Find etc") Hope this helps |
