Happy Pioneer Plague - Original Release (1068)

Hello,

I made a nice package with scans and pictures from the original first release, before Mandrake start selling it. :-)

I hope a Dropbox Link is ok for download:

We are always interested, but please upload any contributions directly to the HOL FTP: http://hol.abime.net/hol_faq.php?section=contributions
I will have a look at the scans tomorrow and thank you for the upload

Should I also upload the pictures from here? Because on the last update they were not in.

Thanks! The U.S. release of Pioneer Plague is quite rare and, for mine, the box art is much nicer on the eye than the UK release by Mandarin. I have copies of both, but unfortunately I can only find the UK release atm.

Do you mean for Pioneer Plague, or have you uploaded other stuff to the HOL ftp?

In any case, I began processing your Pioneer Plague scans yesterday (hope you don't mind TCD!) and uploaded pics of the disk and manual cover. I'll probably get to the others on the weekend when I have a bit more time to crop, resize etc. the rest of the scans.

BTW since you scanned the manual cover, is there any chance you can scan the rest of the manual (pretty please)?!

Thank you. The package is nicer, but the Mandarin disks looks more professionell. I thought first someone made a bad copy, till I saw other releases with the same disk. :-)

Yes, I can make a full scan of the manual next week.

Hello DrBong, here you can download the full manual. I scanned each page with content, if the page was blank, I did not scan it.

I just found my copy of the US release and the disk has a much nicer looking disk label than the one that came with yours.....more professional like the UK Mandarin release rather than homemade. I'll have to scan and upload it so you can see it for yourself!

By the way, I am sure that my disk is original, because since I bought the game I already saw 2 other version with the same disk on eBay.

I know - I trawl Ebay a lot for HOL research purposes, as well as my own Ami games buying fetish! I was just surprised that my copy didn't have a homemade disk label like yours. Lots of early (and late) Amiga games had homemade labels, especially from small publishers.....some of whom did their own manual, cottage industry-style disk duplication and printing of game contents. I'm guessing my copy just came from a later production run (that may have involved a different distributor), that's all.

Geeky collector stuff, for sure!

Amiga hardware is interesting too! I have more than enough Ami hardware, though, and there's not much point having rooms full of it if you're not going to put at least some of it to good use. The same applies to Ami games - I don't see the point of them sitting on a bookshelf or in a packing box unopened and unused in their shrinkwrap.

Anyway, thanks again for all the Pioneer Plague scans.......they've all now been uploaded to HOL. If you have any other interesting game scans, then please upload them to the HOL ftp site - we'd love to see what else is in your collection!

But there is the point where you need no more.
My babys and hteir history:

But on the games side, I still see no end in buying them.

Uploaded "Der Clou! Profidisk", some more pictures for "Der Clou! AGA" & "Bundesliga Manager Hattrick AGA" to the Server. I hope PDF is ok, because this is the easiest way to scan something here at work.
Please do not ask for the Bundeliga Manager manual, because they have hundert of pages...

Upload it and you can write here that you did. It will take time to get processed but it will be done eventually. And if uploaded once it can't be forgotten in the future

Take a look into the apex folder if thes are usable.

From Amipeguser I know that he uploaded some pictures from games that are not in the database.

Just a prayer/request to the HOL team:
please don't downscale user contributions (scans) .
I also contributed in the past with good quality scans (300 dpi, obtained from descreened and carefully cleaned 600 dpi scans), but I saw they were scaled down on HOL website. Why? Is it for storage space?

If possible, the best compromise would be 300 dpi and no logos.
