OS4.1FEu1 - Supported?

Supported is not really the right word I guess, but are there known issues running Update 1 of Final Edition under WinUAE?

I upgraded last night and now I get stuck at the purple PPC screen.

I haven't dug too deeply yet, hence no configs or logs or anything, just wondering if there are known problems before I start to dig into it.

Thanks.

is a common problem for those who do not have a well-updated OS 4.1 (Directory KickStart), we discussed HERE

Cheers - I'll have a read. It's not a big deal to start again if I need to.

OK, a fresh install sorted it.

I have to ask, is OS4.1 always this buggy? I've only had it a few days but even after I've applied update 1 and any other updates something seems to crash it which means I need to reboot often enough for it to be very annoying!

I'm sure I'm far from alone in buying the classic version and running it under emulation in order to get a feel for whether it's something I'd be interested in getting if / when some affordable hardware comes along.

It works fine here. Although sometimes when booting it will go to a green screen of death, requiring a reboot, the same happened with OS4.0 and OS4.1FEu0.

@MartinW
I did not have any problem updating both OS4.1 Classic and FE, it was enough update the folder KickStart (DH0:KickStart) which includes "KickLayout-A4000 53.2 (03.11.2014)" and not "KickLayout-A4000 53.2 (10.9.2011)"

This is the command to enable the RAM instead Zorro3 slot:
C:BootLoader COMMANDLINE="NoRamPager"

Hmm, maybe it would be worth me posting my config (which will be different to what I posted a few days ago). Maybe I have something wrong which is causing instability? I assumed that it was software related but maybe not if other people are not seeing it?

[EDIT] Incidentally, I already have the Z3 RAM working via the BootLoader command. I have more memory assign than you however. Around 900MB I think.
