It just accured to me Ebay charge for the listing itself so it shouldnt be a problem so if i charged ...ie...£2:50 for the postage and packaging ( It will be in a case with covers ) and donated 50p of that in the charity option then it may do a bit of good elsewhere as well...

NOTE !!! It will be a free download.....this is the lowbandwidth option !!!

Hello there synchro,

Another excellent project from you

This is the sort of the same thing I tried to achieve with my SNES DVD i.e. making it easy for people who don't really know much about emulation...

Your Tribute DVDs are very cool and I'm sure this project will also receive the same "synchro" high standard of quality

As for freely distributable games for various emulators, here another links for you:

Amiga - Factor 5
http://www.factor5.com/downloads.shtml

Keep up the good work and look forward to the finished product

Well the problem you had with the RR lads is that the remakes on their site are made for fun to be freely available (no costs involved in their distribution). Therefore no shareware releases or purchases of any kind for their software is allowed (which is fair enough).

By including them on your DVD, which you then charge for (admittedly it may only be a postage fee and/or cost for the media), does somewhat go against the spirit of their site (in effect you are "selling" their free work). The other problem is that games companies whose titles have been remade are generally OK with it (permission is often always sought before a remake is released) unless you start to make money from it - at which point they can come down on the remaker like a tonne of bricks.

In essence this is the same argument the MAME team have with sales of their freely distributable work.

Aside from that, good luck with your project, it sounds interesting.

Ye but what a nightmare !!
I couldnt have explained myself any clearer. and when one thread got locked i tried another to explain myself and kept calm until someone started to accuse me yet again. I didnt want to fall out with anyone but hell these guys were stressed

Here i am back in actual emulation territory and all i get is well wishing, offers for help and not one person offended in any way. We all want the same thing here really to preserve the old and yes we bend the rules slightly sometimes with custom cd's within our own community but money is never involved. They just totally misjudged me and only saw what they wanted to see which was someone trying to cash in on someone elses work

I gave as good as i got in the end.......Probably banned now though but still !!

Perhaps some members here will let me include thier remakes....iv dropped enough hints guys

I believe Pinball Dreams/Fantasies/Illusions (all of them) are free too.

The PC version of Lure of the Temptress and Beneath A Steel Sky are available for free, I assume the Amiga version would be free too.
