Interview with Olaf Barthel

Obligement made an interview with Olaf Barthel. It's mostly about AmigaOS and its heirs (of course). Quite interesting.

Really interesting, though I'd give the page a major grammar overhaul (a pair of native speaker's eyes preferred). Boy, there's been a couple of horrid wording in there at parts, which read as smoothly as a gravel road.
(And lo' and behold, Olaf's statements actually contribute to this by less than 0.1% - go figure )

Interesting!

What is very interesting is that workbench, driver architecture, network stack, UI toolkit, printing system, filesystem all need redesigning from the ground up.

Seriously, if that's up for redesign, what's left that's original? A few bits of Exec?

. If that's meant to be ironic, it's beautiful!

I'll happily provide an edited version if people would like one. I work daily with Finland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, India, Czech Republic and I don't even notice grammar.

But I really don't think it's necessary: the message comes across loud and clear.

And the score is: 1 : 1

(since that was ironic too in some way, though much more subtle than mine)
It hit the (deutsch)mark quite well.

He should be official spokesperson of AmigaOS, would do a better job than Friedens IMHO, seems more reasonable and less depressed.
