US Snes Games on UK Snes

Can I use a US imported Snes game on a UK Snes or won't it work because of PAL/NTSC issues.

Only thing I know for sure is, you can use a US Snes Cart (NTSC) in a German Snes system (PAL), but you have to use an adapter where 2 carts fit (the US one and one from your home country) ..... But I have to report that it doesn´t work with ALL carts, some got color problems or timing issues to fiddle with

Yeah, PAL/NTSC issues are tricky... games that rely heavily on sync with the video output will look like shite. That is, if they work at all!

I have to buy an euro Megadrive if I want to play Alien Soldier :P

@steve_b

Why do you have to use an adapter ??? Is this game not available in UK ?

I don't think so. The game is quite rare. It's Dungeon Master. Anyone know if this was released in the UK for the Snes?

Hmmm, I had a look on some rom sites and it seems that this game IS indeed available as PAL-Version btw. that auction is on EBay germany hehe Anyway, I know this game works fine on *most* adapters, however some older adapter-models *may* have problems in converting this, but it´s a very good deal, you should take it ..... If it would not run, you could sell it on Ebay again

Thanks for the good advice. I didn't realise there is a PAL version around. I've never seen a UK version on ebay anyway it's always a US version. I might just go buy it now if someone doesn't beat me to it. Then I'll have to buy a SNES.

Someone had put a large proxy bid on so I had to keep upping the amount cos I kept getting auto-outbid. I left it too late in the end.
Ebay really annoys me. Why can't it have a proper auction countdown timer like Yahoo and an auto extend feature like Yahoo. If it had these then it would be so much better.

Don´t be sad @steve_b ! Do an international search for "DUNGEON MASTER" and you´ll find various auctions with DM for the SNes

Hey you're right!! Sniff. I'm actually glad I didn't buy it now. I'm going to keep my eye open for a PAL version instead.
