Ntsc cbm a4000t
How many known owners of a C= label A4000T sold in North or South America are there today? It seems like an uncertain 100~250 units were made, with less than a dozen surviving this long.
Interesting data like the prices they've sold for, places they've been found, anything is okay too. I don't follow the scene to be up to date on systems dug out of old attics or wherever. |

bitman has been trying to track these over at the Big Book of Amiga Hardware forum. As you can see, only the whereabouts of a small number are definitively known. But I suspect there are a handful of others in active use in the community whose owners haven't submitted them to that list.

I worked for a dealer in Atlanta and I know we sold at least half a dozen. I think they were mostly quickpak though. At least a few were probably Commodore, but it's been many years and I have no documentation.
They were all sold as Video Toaster systems. |

No such thing as a South American market, so you can stop looking there.
The very few Amigas that were down there were imported by individuals or small computer stores. (Also a lot of South America uses PAL, not NTSC). Amiga was a luxury item reserved for few, usually professional environments, which soon changed to or directly embraced the much cheaper PC alternatives. |

Oh thanks for the heads up. I try not to remember the ever-so-slow feeling dark times as PCs swallowed everyone. Capped off by how rough a transition Windows 95 was for us who found Windows 3X elegant.
