That would run the DRAM way faster than it is supposed to, maybe if we turned the RAM timing speeds way down. But the PLL_CFG for the 107 shows different acceptable PCI sync speeds for the 66MHz vs the 100MHz part. I haven't tried it since since I don't see anything on the table that looks like it would work. Instead of 0101 we'd use 1000 like on the Rapture, but ... yeah probably not a good idea. I do have some 50ns RAM but...

Meh... even though I have a pile of Raptures and two Sonnets what's the point really, it's ... I would do it if it worked. You do it Nexus, you have like two Sonnets and EDRAMS and a racecar...

That's a rare care I bet. It makes me want to find someone to upgrade my Sonnet G3 to a G4 Has the Rapture taken the interest away from the Sonnets yet?

well just remember that is still slower than the rapture that we shown here and for that price you can get the 2 things needed
and with rapture you have more space as there isnt huge ram sticks sticking straight up

True, but 11 years ago you could also buy a fully loaded A4000T with a Toaster Flyer for $400.00 on ebay.

that is not compatible sonnet it says pci but that means pci macs not as in the card type 7200 sonnets never went that high

part numbers start like MG3-xxx-xx MG4-xxx-xx

the sonnet cresendo 7200 are really SBC they have everything on the card eg: CPU/RAM/ROM is possible/and PCI bus you could stick the card in a pci back plane and run linux etc
ofc that makes it run in host mode as in master we run it in agent mode as a co-pro/iop

ah, that's right, just saw the different connector.
I cannot remember it's name, but not standard PCI

#1) is there a link to that rapture card?

From the other thread, these are the only carriers I have tested that I can say work:
Technobox P/N 1447 (I converted carrier to 3.3V support since I have 5V only Mediator)
Ramix 239/F (does 3.3V conversion itself)

xpedite1010 has a 440GX, so no FPU, not very practical.
A7400 that's interesting but super expensive.
MPC8248 that's a 603e core and I think maxes out at 400MHz, so could be ok maybe, but I'm not sure about the PowerQuicc SoCs whether they support all of the features Hedeon needs to make the PPC to PCI and thus Amiga communication work. If they did then that would be something for sure.

But if PowerQuicc have all the stuff we needed then there are other boards that could be considered.
