Quick ACA 630/25 question
Hi guuuyyyyssss
Ordered my ACA 630/25 yesterday and should be here in the next few days, WOOOOO, but one quick question. I know these things can run hot but is it OK to have it running without a fan or should I consider installing one. If so what hack can I do to add a fan. |

They were designed to run without a fan.

You will enjoy it way too much mate. ACA630 is an amazing accelerator that will give such nice boost to your lovely A600.

I think it's much too hot for my taste inside, but it doesn't seem to be so hot it stops working. So it's really just about your preferences. If you think it's too hot you can hotglue one of those tiny 25x25x5mm fans to the grille of the top case half, that's enough to get the heat out. I don't have a fan in mine at the moment (25 MHz).

Where would you connect the fan?

Agree with FOL, it's only if you feel you would 'like' a lower temp inside. As FOL hints, you get a normal fan Y-splitter cable for PC power supplies and then plug in the floppy and the fan into that. Every PC store has one and they're cheap.
