Why not just run the games in "PAL" (50hz)? Colour output will still be NTSC.

If for some reason you want to use typical US TV hardware though, US TVs almost never play nice with 50Hz, even if the color encoding is still NTSC. Also, NTSC color encoding doesn't even really work right at 50Hz in composite due to interference pattern issues. |
