PLCC to PGA adapter

With this adapter can someone convert a 68882 PLCC type FPU to a PGA socket?

Adapts Jedec PLCC packages to standard PGA footprints.

So did JEDEC have some say in the pinout of the 68882? Are the same signals on the same numbered pins in both package types? I don't have a datasheet handy.
