Sven's given me 1.2.6 but he doesn't know how stable it is. He's also has given me the source code for the key gen to create a free key. I'm away for the week without a computer so will see if I can compile on the weekend. I will have to get AsmOne up and running which I don't have, but will check the EAB FTP when I'm home.

Good news though.

indeed, very good news. thanks Scott - and of course Sven
Asm-One you can find on the ftp "Commodore_Amiga/TOSEC/Applications/[ADF] (TOSEC-v2012-12-21_CM)/" different versions. 1.15 (4 disks) and 1.29. not sure if they are the latest version, but take a look yourself. maybe they do the job. otherwise we can look for another version.

I've uploaded 1.2.6 but haven't had a working install to test (My Amiga 1200 has a sick memory expansion card :-( )

Still working on compiling the free key..

thank you for the effort.
about the expansion - try to clean the contacts of the connector. maybe it will help. if you can open the computer, look for leaking capacitors - or maybe a clock-battery. if you can, desolder or remove old battery. good luck with it.

Edit: amigakit offers some repairservices - just in case your machine need it.

Edit: 1.2.6 works very stable on winuae, using a standard wb/kick 3.1 using 030/882 system.
running on my winuae-Amisys4 setup using RTG 040 and a lot of patches, any version of MT crashes easily.
so if anyone get some strange gurus, just try to start with a standard WB/kick setup. now i only need to organize some midi equipment

Can't wait to test this I've been wanting to be able to use my MIDI gear in a tracker environment, I've just had no luck finding a keyfile for MIDI-Tracker...looking forward to it

Why not use Music X or Octamed? They support midi and tracking/sampling

I might give those a shot, but MIDI-Tracker looks like exactly what I want, if it were only registered.

shax71 doesn't seem to have a user page; anyone know how to contact him? I'd like to get the source for the keygen and have a go at building it...

i cannot recall an email adress or website in his profile.
eab admins could revive his account - so a barrier is taken for shax71. admin anyone?

Smile Keyfile Attached

Bad news: I could never get the keyfile gen to work.

Good news: I've been given permission to share my personal keyfile that will work with all Miditracker versions. :-)

No idea why my account got deleted but have registered again on the same name.

Scott.

wb shax71

the account was deleted, coz you had less than 10 posts, or something like that.
thanks for the key, i will try now

#1) key does work with 1.20 to 1.26 - but only v1.20 is stable, the newer versions do crash here a lot.
but that is without the key too .
thanks again for the key. and thanks to the author for giving permission to share

#2) i moved the miditracker folder to a clean wb/kick 3.1 system. things are now much more stable,
with all versions.
i guess my patched and pimped default installation needs some more patches

@admin: can someone merge the old and new shax71 posts, so he does not loose his account again?

Thanks so much shax71 and emufan for this!
I long lost the need to use this, but I will still enjoy giving it a try

Sorry it took so long, but glad to help.

I wrote so many tracks with MT back in the day. If any interest I can throw them up on Soundcloud or something.

can you upload some .mt modules into the zone? i dont have a keyboard, just VirtualMidiSynth and MidiYoke, which doesnt work as expected.
one or two modules to experiment with would be of good use

#1) when i look at commodorejohn's keyboard collection i run in circles ....

I'll try and find a track with enough instrument names to make sense and upload.

So how's this for emulation gymnastics:

OSX 12.1
Running Parallels (Win XP VM)
Running WinUAE (rtpMIDI - over TCP/IP)
Running Miditracker

Can play MT songs that drive virtual instruments in Ableton Live on the Mac.

The most stable MT for me is V1.1.9 BTW.
