Do you want to map joystick up/down/left/right to analog stick or d-pad?

Analog stick should be mapped by default. D-pad seems to be buttons 12-15 (at least with adapter I used years ago)

Well, if the analog button is pressed and the led is on they are mapped, otherwise it's the dpad that's mapped.

I cannot imagine this request is for normal usage though, maybe CD32?

Get a picture up of the pad on the internet, load up the calibration tool for joysticks in Windows then press the button corresponding to the button on the CD32 pad.

to get which button it is you need to map Red, Green, Blue etc. to. Just remember to subtract 1 from the number of the button Windows tells you as WinUAE starts at 0 and Windows starts at 1.

My adapter had both active at the same time, d-pad mapped to "extra" buttons and analog button was always on. (or something like that, it was long time ago)

Yeah, if the sticks are on, the dpad still works, but is shown as hat switches with mine
