intuitionlibrary v45 with OS3.9 and only 1 reboot

I am sure the info is probably here already somewhere but ... I can't find.

So I have 3.1.4 roms in the A3000T where i have an OS3.9 install I wish to keep.

So I swapped in the newer setpatch and also the new intuition library for offscreen dragging.

Of course my A3000T reboots twice now, once for the intuition library and once do to it's OS3.9 thing.

How can I make it reboot only once ? Without asking someone to build me a kickstartrom with that library, running a VA2000 so no CGFX in this machine.

As far as I know the OS3.9 reboot is done by SetPatch when loading modules. With the OS3.1.4 it's SetPatch that shouldn't be the case. So what do the reset on your system? LoadModule has a "noreboot" option. Do you have an accelerator card in your A3000T?

Hm. Maybe it just takes a long time to boot and there is no second reboot ?

I do have a warpengine with a 060@80mhz in it.

Normally you should notice a second reboot. You can put "set echo on" on top of your S-S to see how often S-S is launched.

I don't know if there exist a ROM remap tool for the warpengine (maybe blizkick works?). Then you could remap the ROM and load modules at the same time (= only one reboot). You can also try the MMULib tools doing this.

If you have a working tool to load a ROM file from disk to fastram you can use Remus to build a ROM with intuition.library and load it with that tool. Results also in only one reboot.

Thanks for the tip, didn't know that one. And indeed os3.9 doesn't do a reboot anymore, just seems to take a fairly long time to boot.

I actually have a deneb but it's in one of my A4k.

A pitty those kickflashes aren't available anymore for a long time.
