X-Surf/RapidRoad and MiamiDX

This is with an Amiga 2500 with a Revision 6.3 motherboard and 3.1 ROM. It was serviced in June and is working properly. I have a CBM 2630 accelerator, a Supra RAM card, a Zorr04 IDE 2 card and the X-Surf card with a Rapid Road attached to it. They are all working properly. The lights for the X-Surf and Rapid Road all light appropriately.

I am using OS 3.9 on a 16GB CF card. I have MiamiDx installed as a TCP/IP stack. It was working properly. I know that because I could access my router via MiamiPing and the Amiga from my Windows 7 PC via the CMD prompt. I had Amiga Explorer installed and I transferred files with it. I have NetPrinter installed and I printed with it. Then, I installed the Poseidon software to bring up the two USB ports on the back of the NIC card Everything worked properly. I turned the computer off. When I turned it on next, I got the following message:

Miami Deluxe is unable to open SANA-II device “16GB aevs/Networks/x-surf-100.device” unit 0.

I was able, after a LONG time, to bring the TCP/IP stack back up. It went down again. I have replicated this with 2 X-Surf cards with RapidRoads attached, in two slots, with MiamiDX and EasyNet Pro and with the Zorro 2 jumper closed.

Any ideas?

Thanks for this. What I found was that the X-Surf was recognized properly without the RapidRoad and not recognized properly with it. After trying 4 RapidRoads, one of the worked with both X-Surfs and is working great. 3 RapidRoads did not work properly the first time they were used. Thanks again for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :0
