There will be additional control options for sure. I can't say right now if we will be able to make controls completely redefinable though. It's in our todo list but not top priority.

Interesting. Yes, this is what I meant with hard panning. When the snare hits and it is all alone in the right speaker, gets to be compared with what's on the left speaker. It's not only the loudness that affects the balance but also frequency. F.e. the bassline at the left is almost always full volume, however it also consists of mostly low ends. Compared to the snare (which is mid to high end range) it might sound a lot less loud even if in reality it is not.

Just watched the live stream. Grind looks and sounds absolutely amazing now!
However, one question; Amiga Bill tested two versions, a disk version and a HD version? Only the latter had music. Does that mean that a plain 512k/512k A500 can't have music? |

This is a problem with the current ADF and lack of control we have on RAM and storage in general. We are in a transitional state right now, waiting to jump to a new base, which will allow us to load assets on demand, plus have proper RAM control. So hopefully with this, we will also be able to include music to 512+512 A500 and ADF eventually (right now we do have the space but just cannot use it).

Great work! So ... Grind should be playable from floppydisk? I am just curious.

Btw multiplayer (pvp via serial cable) is also coming soon! No, not by a long shot. There is a MASSIVE amount of work still to be done. Bill is just trying demos. If the game is finished and released the news will be all over the place. |

I must say that I was really impressed by the footage I saw in the livestream. I have only played the demo of the game when it was still called "dread" and that already felt like a real game. It's like Bill said, you forget you playing on an Amiga as you get so immersed into the game itself.
Can't wait for the final release :-) |
