No no guys, the link is not a public link to a web shop, as you can clearly see on top you must provide your a1k nickname.
You make it appear as a shop. Even inside a1k it is not allowed to link directly to the order page.

This sounds great.

Shame I can't even get back my a1k username. Any admins over here? Seems like my account is linked to a dead email address.

Maybe it was deleted due inactivity? Send me a pm with the nickname and the old used email address.

They also write that you can specify your user name from other forums and I did just that since I am not a user on a1k.

And no, it is not a shop but a group buy so you are transferring money to some person, hoping that he will honor the agreement. If he decides to cheat you, he could just keep the money and realistically there will be little you could do about it.. You could report him to the authorities but if you are from another country this would be too much effort compared to the relatively low money sum and probably wouldn't give you back your money anyway.

40 EUR for a brand new board is very reasonable. If you had a destroyed board populated with working parts, that'd be a great way to get it going again.

True, but you wouldn't want to desolder all the connectors and passive components from the dead board so you need to get the 40+60 EUR package.. Of course one could just put the old board in the oven on 250 deg. and then shake off all the components when it has heated up.

Still, the ceramic caps etc. may not like this kind of treatment, so I'd prefer using brand new parts if I'm starting with a brand new board anyway. I wonder if they managed to source 23 pin connectors for the RGB and floppy?

My guess is they probably will make more at some point, but you could maybe also find someone reselling their kits after they realize how many components needs to be soldered.

Many people also sold their GBA1000 boards after sourcing all the components etc., although I know that the GBA1000 board is a lot more complex to assemble.

That's a good point, I'll keep an eye out, my soldering station is itching for a new project
