Expensive A1200 on eBay

I just saw this A1200 on eBay going for almost £90, but there doesn't seem to be anything special about it - just a plain A1200.

I'm just surprised really seeing as they normally go for less than £20.

The fact that it is boxed and obviousl in mint condition would out the price up.

It would never ever go for £20.

Perhaps the recent attention in certain 'retro' publications has unjustifiably increased the post?

You also can't discount shill-bidding.

Probably had an accelerator in it didnt it? A plain unit goes for over $100 or so from what I remember.

They seem to go for about £30/40 in the UK. That machine had to have had an accellerator.

Prices ARE all over the place on ebay...

Check this one out... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...&category=2243

Mort was also bidding on a Spectrum Magazine Issue one and gave up after £85. It went on to fetch £118

I feel its going to be very difficuilt getting stuff at boot fairs this year what with the bi-monthly retro magazine out now.

That is a bit crazy, does OS 3.9 run on 7mb of memory?
120mb drive is kind of puny.

030/40 accelerator with that hard to find GVP memory (much better getting a board that takes 72pin memory like mine.

The scsi addon is nice, does it support dma tansfers or is it the old crappy scsi?

OS3.9 only takes up about 25MB after installation, so it isn't that bad, but yeah, you would be pushing it with 7MB.

What happened to them? (Kickstart 3.1 chips are the new ones, 3.0 are the bog standard A1200 chips).
