Man, so many things seem to have been done since the last time I looked. Good job BSzilli!
My apologies for the failed promises of assistance I gave.

You mention an "official" version but the link posted seems expired now.
Is that version officially available from any vendor?

And we still need to work on a non accelerated version.

The link to the shop changed, I'll edit that post as well: https://www.aeros-os.org/rapidcartpr.../35/Catacomb3D
I'm not sure what you mean by non-accelerated version, but patches are always welcome.

I think it's about a dozen bytes, so that would make 2 blocks.

Heya BSzili,

Thought I'd try and get "Keen Dreams" working.

I can't remember where I got this file from, but these are the contents:
Looked at https://keenwiki.shikadi.net/wiki/Keen_Dreams_Versions, but since I can't even get it to load (just a black screen), I'm not sure how to identify.

Is it only the shareware 1.13 version that's supported?

Edit: ah, if I press a key it then drops back to shell with this message "Error: BEL_Cross_SelectGameInstallation: No compatible game installation found!"...

Guess whatever I have above is not supported.

The 1.13 shareware version also contains the full game, so you won't miss anything by playing that.

I've tried several versions of Catacombs Armageddon and Catacombs Apocalypse and none of them work. I've checked the CRC's against the source, but none match. I assume that the executables are only compatible with the GOG version.

Thanks BSzili, I did read that

I've now managed to source 1.93 so no more nagging Shareware screen.

I just setup all 4 x Catacomb games yesterday without issue; but I used the GoG version.

The GOG pack works fine, but there is no Music.... (i saw a CD32 YT video and they had the Adlib "music")

Do i have to convert the "music" like in Doom and Wolfenstein 3D ?

Btw. the Mouse turning speed is so slow in, Abyss, Apocalypse and Armageddon...but is fine in Cat3D.

Why ? and how can it be changed ?

Thanks

When I did this the tool to convert the AdLib sounds/music was still in its infancy. It wasn't user friendly or fully automated. One day I'll revisit this project, but currently I'm busy with other things.

That´s ok. Not much is lost; i guess. The "OST" goes something like this ...

"ding .. da .. ding........ dinnnnng .... dinnnnnng....."

Greetings

edit: Changing the palette has been brought up before, but since the game's graphics were designed for the default EGA colors, I'm not sure if it's a good idea.
I suggest the possibility of use EGA palette and an alternative Amiga palette with better colours (I can help you with this one).

So, player can change the palette pressing the P key, would be nice.

It is just fine if you get the music from here https://downloads.khinsider.com/cp/add_album/37770 , convert the file to a 8bit 16khz large sample, you can play it streaming from fast ram to a small buffer on chip ram. Most people got more than 16mb fast memory (I got Pi_Storm with 128mb).
