Thank you for trying MUIMapparium,

yes I know the routing is not very nice.. I guess later will switch to an other service.
The search also is not so easy to operate true
remember if you search for streets and cities in the same query you have them separate by a ',' same for post code and haus number

so instead
Berlin Friedrichstrasse 103
as you would use in google or so

you have to search for
103, Friedrichstrasse, Berlin
oder with post code
103, Friedrichstrasse, Berlin, 10117

if you also follow that order: number, street, town, post code it works best.

What you mean? route commands? try to change the default search language in Prefs to something you like (default en, also possible de, it, ... ) then the orders are in that language.

thanks for using it

Ok ora bisogna solo localizzare il programma "catalogs"

Also works well on OS3 (AfA One)

it does actually, but until now there is only english and german catalogs, feel free to make an itallian, cd file is included. But these route orders originates from the online routing service, therefore you have to set the language separately and not via catalog files.

Hi all!

I tried Maparium on my A600 with a Vampire but it doesn't start: it says that there is an anti-coffin protection!? I have a Workbench 3.1 with lots of stuff that I installed myself...

What should I do?

Take care!

Hi Tygre, you have also tried the version MUIMapparium_NoFPU ?

On MUIMapparium.guide is reported:

"With Vampire (at least until Gold 2.9) you have to use the NoFPU-Version of MUIMapparium. The Vampire FPU is not IEEE75 compatible and therefore does not work with MUIMapparium."

Hi AmigaSystem!

Yes, I get this message with the NoFPU version... the other version doesn't start, reporting an incompatible FPU (as expected).

Any idea what I should change on my system? I also used SnoopDOS but didn't see anything obvious that could explain the "coffin" warning...

Cheers!

It works for me with all tested OSs, OS3.1, OS3.9, AfA One, AmikitX.

Unfortunately I can not simulate your Error, I think it depends on the Vampire, try asking on the forum "apollo-core.com"

Thanks AmigaSystem!

Still the "problem" (if any) comes from Maparium because it is the one detecting a "coffin"

Its not detect Coffin, it detects Vampire

Vampire = Coffin = illegal
(they sell Coffin together with V4 and promote it for V2 and V4 the Coffin Maker are part of Vampire team)

yeah try that, and see how your thread is getting deleted (and I guess AmigaSystem experienced the same there)
I tried to protest against Coffin already long time before... so now that is my new way to protest... against use of my work in such illegal distribution, seems the only way possible, sadly

Sorry.

So because you have a vendetta against the Apollo team, you penalize honest Vampire users who DON'T use Coffin OS (I use Amiga OS 3.1.4) by blocking it from running on a Vampire even when the operating system being used is NOT Coffin?? Seriously?? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.

He has all the rights to do so. His program, his right to decide who uses it. Apollo team promoting Coffin OS, so it OK to put pressure then to NOT promoting Coffin OS.

Your point would be valid if Vampire and Coffin are separate things, but they aren't, that is the same "company". I boycott the company as whole.

https://www.amiga-news.de/en/news/AN...-00011-EN.html

A protest hurting no one is meaningless (e.g. strike in public transport vs. shool strike)

Of course I wish some more coders would do the same... pressuring the Vampire team on stop using/selling/promoting Coffin and condemn it (increasing pressure from the user)
Most likely that will not happen, but I feel better about it.

And to be honest nobody will miss my "worthless software" (original citation from an email)

How so?

Good on ALB42 for not supporting illegal practices / activities and stopping his software from working on dodgy OS systems containing copyright files...

As he's said, other software authors' should do the same thing but we all know that they won't...
