Ball Raider 2 - wtf...
Really ... either this game is too stupid for me, or vice-versa
As this game is finally able to be played on WinUAE (older versions had strange graphical bugs), I gave it a try. Well .. are there any extras you can get except this couple of extras you can get at the beginning but not again later on in the game !? Secondly.. there's those light grey moveable stones (but not breakable), and I'm stuck at level 00 forever because I must destroy them to get further! So how can I do this? A manual would be handy indeed p.s. could this TOSEC version be a preview or beta? p.p.s. does anyone have the ORIGINAL or at least the HD install of this game? I must check out if this ugly "intro" works the same as on my "final version". Last edited by andreas; 27 September 2003 at 00:01. |

I should be getting the manual to this game in the next week or two. When I do I'll try and answer your questions about the game.

Ok, these Ball Raider II docs are taken from the Amiga Stars Collection compilation:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ LOADING INSTRUCTIONS (BALL RAIDER II) (After booting) the Ball Raider II loading screen will appear. Press: F1 if you want to play Ball Raider II F2 if you want to creat your own screens If you choose F1, the game will load. You will now have the choice of playing the actual game by pressing '1' or playing your own creations by pressing '2'. If you choose F2, the screen editor will load. You can now pick the colour of background you wish to choose- there are dozens to choose from. Now pick the colour of stones you wish to use- the screen is now yours. To create- point the cursor at the point you wish to cover with a stone, press the mousebutton and a stone will appear. Have fun choosing different colours and creating unusual patterns. When you have finished your screen, click the save icon and your screen will be stored. Now click on the exit icon, press '2' for user levels, and play your own creation! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This is the description of Ball Raider II on the back of the compilation box: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The ultimate challenge for the Guild of Warriors. Succeed in mastering all 20 levels and you will become a member of the Warriors Guild. Accept the challenge and use your skill and wits to become on of the ELITE'. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Not particularly useful documentation, is it??!! I'll try booting the game and see if I can work it out. No doubt the game will confuse me too! |

Here are some more "docs" for Ball Raider II, this time taken from the International Arcade Action compilation:
----------------------------------------------------------- BALL RAIDER II: Knock out the bricks using the bat. Extra capsules and bricks give special effects. Control the bat with the mouse. ----------------------------------------------------------- Again, not very useful! I bet the docs included with the original release are just as useless. I tried playing the game, but the first level seems impossibly hard. |

exactly
Ah ... have you tried playing from the original disk? (in case you have it) Otherwise I'd assume it's another trap built-in for crackers. (compare to cracked GODS with its unbeatable enemies) Rare game ... has not even been CAPSed up to now. And no WHD install either...well .... Perhaps another stolen game like Super Gem'Z that only exists in unfinished form. Last edited by andreas; 11 March 2004 at 22:31. |
