Roll eyes (sarcastic) SFS Checksum Error....

block 18

So how do I get rid of a checksum error on SFS (can't write to my drive)

bit of a pain in the ass as I'm trying to install drivers...

OS 3.9 BB 1&2 060 etc etc.

sorry for abruptness but am tired

Thats what I've used to get SFS going. I can almost recite the contents of that page from memory (the formatting parameters at any rate)

If you are telling me to reformat the drive, I was hoping there is a slightly less drastic solution, although I will if I have to.

Edit:- I cant connect the Microdrive to PC cos my card reader/winblows doesn't like it, so any solutions must be Amiga side only.

Maybe your drive isn't being a good boy and needs to run in a slower mode?

AFAIK the only supported method yet is to copy all files to another partition, quick-format this one and copy all files back.

Also remember to copy CLONE all files so the "backup" will be a perfect copy of original data!

Just use DOpus to copy the files to a good partition...... lost count of how many times I've done that on me real Amy

ATM I'm not using any FS as miggy (tower is in bits on the floor)
