I will try to find a bit of time to try the PSP version this week-end or early next week and will post a quick review by editing this post, in case someone is interested. Edit: Test it a bit. Pretty nice. Pretty difficult too (but still playable IMO, at least as far as I went). I'd describe it as a sort of mix of Rick Dangerous with a more intense platformer. Basically, it is a rather fast-paced platformer, in which you will sometimes fall into traps or create situations that will force you to suicide. For instance, at the start of the game, there is a location that has two boxes that you can push into the water. The aim is to put the two boxes on top of each other so that you can go into the water, collect something and then jump on the boxes and then back to the land. However, the first time, you probably won't be able to guess that you need to put one box on top of the other and will probably push each one separately (or only one). With only one box, you don't have enough height to get back to the top. As for the platform part, it can be difficult but not too much. There are a lot of pit traps. However, you usually have enough margin to do jumps and avoid the traps without doing pixel perfect jumps as is required in some other platform games. Another example is a bridge near the start of the game. You have things to collect on the bridge. Bridge parts collapse a bit after you stand on them. And there are enemies crossing the bridge. Each element is actually rather easy by itself. However, the combination of the three makes things more difficult, but in an interesting sense. And as I said it is not too difficult, you can still make small mistakes and manage to get out well. As a conclusion, I'd say it is a game at least worth a try. Play 5 minutes and if you find it is too frustrating, you can quit since it will only get worse. On the other hand, if you can cope with such a type of gameplay, you will probably enjoy it a lot. I'm not sure if these 3 german games are PD or not. I found them on EAB server in ~Public_User_Uploads/Sea7/Tosec UNK/ AmigaSession3 - Schatztruhe - Aergern+Bowlen+Atome (german - rare).zip
Atome (Somethig like Atomix or Atomino but with more items. Great music from some demo.): Nur Nicht Argern (Board game for 4 players with good music.): Bowlen (Card game with same music as Atome.): |

If we suppose that this is the same Harald Müller:
http://hol.abime.net/hol_search.php?...itstart=&find= the games are probably not PD, since he seems to specialize in making commercial releases of "small" games. The titles were probably budget titles. For instance, Alien Hunter was sold 19 DeutschMarks: http://hol.abime.net/3496/miscshot Converting in Francs (French money), based on what I remember to be the rate, it would be the price range of budget titles here. |

Aardvarks (Nice Lemmings clone.):
[ Show youtube player ]
This is "Galaga Wars" Ver. 1.5 for the Commodore Amiga released back in 1999 as Public Domain/Freeware by Michael Rosskopf and Wiremu Te Kani. It's a fast paced vertical shoot 'em up but it has nothing in common with Namco's Galaga. The graphics are very simple but the sprites are well drawn and they are moving smooth and fast. [ Show youtube player ] This is "Lance-A-Lot" released back in 1996 by Gordon Smith as a public domain/freeware game. It's a "Joust" clone and one of the best i have played on Amiga. The game's controls and mechanics are excellent and many extras have been included to enhance the gameplay (power ups and a bonus level). Although the Pterodactyl is nowhere to be seen, the game remains extremely addictive and great fun to play. [ Show youtube player ] |

I hope you don't mind this interjection, but I sincerely appreciate you going through all of these PD games. Thanks.

Thank you but it's not project, I have fun playing and sharing, nothing more. Now I'm searching for video codec for WinUAE which allow recording in real time (no slowdowns). Like in emulators CPCE or Altirra.

To run "BloodBrawl" from Hard Disk, Double-Click the "BloodHD" icon which is in the "BloodBrawlHD" directory. * Make sure to delete the "BloodBrawlHD" directory from RAM DISK: Before running the game. DESCRIPTION ----------- This is a 2D one-on-one Beat'em-up game for 1 or 2 players. During the fight the energy marker will move left & right as hits are registered. The fight is won by the player who gets the energy marker over to their opponents side and then knocks them over first. THE SCREEN ---------- At the top of the screen there are three main parts. - ENERGY BAR - FIRST BLOOD MARKER - PLAYER WIN COUNTERS The energy bar is one long darkened bar which lights only one position at a time to display who is closest to winning. "First Blood" appears under the energy bar next to the player who struck the first blow. The Win Counters keep a record of fights won by each fighter. CONTROLS -------- At the Title Screen:- F1 - Player Vs. CPU F5 - DARK on/off (Fight in Dark) F2 - Player Vs. Player F6 - EASY F3 - CLEAN up blood (Needs Disk Present) F7 - NORMAL (Default) F4 - HIT on/off (Screen Flashes) F8 - HARD Each fighter is controlled by joystick/joypad only. During the fight press P to PAUSE/UNPAUSE. While Paused ESCAPE key will Quit. WITHOUT FIRE BUTTON WITH FIRE BUTTON =================== ================ UP : Jump UP : Head Butt DOWN : Quick Duck BACK : Uppercut BACK : Walk Back FORWARD : High Thrust Kick FORWARD : Walk Forward UP-FORWARD : High Spin Kick UP-BACK : Jump Back DOWN-FORWARD : Low Sweep Kick DOWN-BACK : (Grapple) FIRE BUTTON : Punch GRAPPLE ------- For a more powerful attack attempt to win a grapple after which your opponent will not be able to defend himself. To enter a grapple, get close to your opponent and when he is standing still - press the grapple combination.(See "CONTROLS" Above) Both fighters will now attempt to over power each other by rapidly pressing FORWARD and FIRE. For a better chance of winning the grapple, alternately press FORWARD then FIRE in a steady rhythm. When won your fighter will automatically perform the Drop Punch. DEFENCE ------- During the fight try to learn what moves to use which will counter attack your opponents moves. For example, when your opponent tries a Low Sweep Kick simply Jump to avoid it. If there is no way to avoid an attack try using a more powerful move, certain attacks can be more powerful than others therefore blocking your opponents attack. Try to get a combination of several hits on your opponent, as this will knock him over causing more damage to him when he hits the ground. Do not stand and perform the same move several times in the hope that your opponent will simply walk into it, as this will only tire you and waste your own energy. BLOOD ===== When blood from a successful grapple sticks to the ground it will stay there for future fights, see how much of the ground you cover. Select "CLEAN" (F3) at the title screen to mop it up. THE KILL -------- After defeating your opponent you have the choice of either letting him live or killing him. To kill your opponent wait until the word "KILL" appears on screen then: PLAYER 1: As Player 2 lies on the ground walk over until you are above his legs and then press DOWN-FORWARD and FIRE. PLAYER 2: As player 1 lies on the ground walk over until you are above his waist and then press DOWN-FORWARD and FIRE. -------------------------------------END------------------------------------- Last edited by s2325; 28 April 2012 at 18:37. |
