display problem! help please!

I got an amiga today and tried to connect it to the tv with rgb scart and theres a problem. it shows very faint on a black screen. cant even see the curser,? if i connect via composite its ok

this was set to display on a old CRT via VGA using a RGB -VGA converter and it shows fine on that so it cant be the RBG port surly? It is set on hugh res pal

Hi gordonbennet,

Connecting an Amiga to TV via RGB-SCART is problematic, and there appears to be no reliable solution which covers all situations.

It would help if you could provide details of your Amiga and TV, along with wiring details of the cable you are using, because it will come down to this eventually.

It might be a good idea for you to search the forums for RGB-SCART, "RGB to SCART" and the like to get an idea what I mean.

Thanks for the reply. I tried on a 3rd TV and it works, yet my 600 work on all 3 with the cable. Im going to see ive got anoher scart cable and see if that works with the one i want it to work with, my samsung syncmaster 940mw
