Project Update: DIY Joystick for DB9 and USB

Hi all,



Just wanted to make you aware that my Joystick project had a major upgrade:


  • Now has 2 logical fire buttons. Fire2 is compatible to both Amiga and C64.
  • Originally it was developed on a Strip Board, but an LED manufacturer named emilum.com offered to contribute a proper PCB layout, which can be downloaded.


Other features of the joystick:
  • Can be simultaneously or independently used on period hardware and on USB.
  • Features an adjustable rapid fire. Can be adjusted via pot. Rapid fire is for Fire1 only, and pressing Fire1 overrides the rapid fire (e.g. to charge super weapons).
  • Comes with all the documentation necessary to rebuild.
