Thats correct, but alot of drives are set to master with no why to alter them.

So you use the second 40 pin header with the atapi.device (idefix, in c: not needed, as atapi.device makes second channel work).

I have finali solved the problem Cd0 uninitialized.I took the IDEFIX 97 package and installed IDEFIX (Remember I have a 4XIED-adapter, not a IDEFIX adapter.
I took the ATAPI.es device and changed the nunber of the unit from 0 to 3...Ops, it works . So mine Amiga configuration is
1) CF Card as Master in the first channel of the 4xIDE _adapter
2) DVD Slim (9,5 mm) as slave in the second channel of the Adapter
3) IDEFIX -package

I told you that Idefix would help you, as the DVD was already recognized. I'm now buying the same. Thanks / Gracias.

BTW: I would like to see your Amiga and dvd when installed. You could post some photos.
