Games won’t start. Some files are missing (worked before)
Hi,
I don’t know what to do. Some games won’t start anymore (Fire&Ice for example) They are greyed out in the list and i have rescanned the games folder again and again(updating database) I get a some files are missing error message when itry to start them. And updating game database ends in a error message and auto retry won’t work too) So what can i do? I installed the games a few years ago and they ran without trouble. Dunno what caused this. Maybe some of the Windows 10 updates. Did i messed things up but when and how? I didn’t touched the FS-UAE config in the meantime. I installed the (latest) update a while ago but that was when the error messages already happened. |

At a guess has something to do with openretro.org being broken/down...

As I already mention in my other post it is due to openretro.org(Game Database Server) is down/offline... I have sent an e-mail to Frode(FS-UAE developer) to ask him what is going on but still haven't got an answer...

if you want to play without depending from database online, it is better. Front-end is very simple than Launchbox, but if you need to click & play, you could try.
Of course being offline, you have to download the whole package that can be of various GB. |

I have created an offline archive of all ADF-IPF-HDF-CD32-CDTV games.
Just create a new configuration, change the options and save. |

Just in any case to leave this info here too...
Great news!!! Openretro.org is online again and working as before!!! I got a return email from Frode a little while ago and he said he was on vacation and only got back today and he immediately fixed the error on the site and now everything is working flawlessly!!! |
