no sense to support old and faulty drives (now probably dead and replaced by something bigger/newer many years ago)

Thx Cosmos!

Most importantly, is it still (and intended to be) compatible with idefix and the likes ?

I might try it someday. I get a GURU with the scsi.device in AmigaOS ROM Updates from 3.9 on my A1200 with B1260 and CF card.

So i have to skip that module, to get my A1200 working, perhaps this version will work though.

Working. The 44.2 patched version had serious problems, this one does not and is fast indeed. Thanks for your great job!

I just received this bug report:

"The scsi.device by cosmos can't recognize PFS formatted
partitions above a certain size. +4GB i believe. If i'm not mistaken, OS4
has the same problem. Version 44.2, IDEFix's and MorphOS's scsi.devices
doesn't have such problem."

Ok, I'll check this today...

I don't really understand because only the read/write function have been rewritten... All the other code are the same, wait states have nothing to do with capacity...

v43.45 is working fine with PFS3 and + 4 Gb partitions ??

Ok, with a +6 Gb partition and the last Pfs3 :

scsi v40.12 = no
scsi v43.45 = no
scsi v43.46b1 = no
scsi v44.2 = yes

Doobrey have made some change into the 44.2 !

scsi.device v43.46 beta 2 (14 772 bytes)

- Special code from Doobrey for Pfs3 +4 Gb partitions
- Some subroutines called one time inlined again
- 1168 bytes saved

Doobrey is a good coder

Is there any way to make this driver ROMable? (no KICK modification but separate one)

@pandy71

It is no easy task to build and burn your own rom if that is what you are looking for, and it requires carefull planning.

To give it a try follow mfilos excellent guide at
http://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?t=11935

And then choose what components you are going to include from
http://lilliput.amiga-projects.net/ROM_modules.htm

If any doubts from this process arise, I suggest you read & post in this thread
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?...ht=rom+burning

I hope it helps
