Don't believe what Windows' system control tells you - with Powerstrip you can force the refresh rate to 50 and/or 100Hz on the majority of displays which officially don't support it!

I used UniVBE on my old PC with a CRT, i know a few of these hacks
I already tried plugging the old computers on my LCD but 50Hz is too low (i reached the 53-56).
And this monitor is 10 years old so the 100Hz were a sweet dream at this time

Ah, UniVBE - totally forgot about that. Brings back memories...
Back in 1998 I played Wings, Turrican II and Moonstone fullspeed on a Pentium 133MHz under Fellow!
And thanks to UniVBE I got 100% smooth scrolling on my CRT.

UniVBE was a great tool in many aspects, an indispensable for the players
Here's my new score: 185.400
I lost at the first track on the Moon, it seems to me very hard !

I have not managed to beat any of the moon levels. I've reached the moon section a few times now and always come last.

Since you both reached the Moon-levels (which I haven't yet) you can now practice them in battle-mode (the game saves your progress as mailman told me on Lemon)...

Yes but if you leave the game, the progression is lost...
Only people who have a registered version of WHDLoad can have this feature.

Playing from disks the games stores this information on the 2nd disk. I assume that playing from ADFs on WinUAE the game does the same...

I have registered WHDload and it still doesn't seem to save progress or the highscores...

You shouldn't then. Zipped ADF is write protected.

You need to quit game with QUITKEY assign to the WHDLoad or the game.

BTW: I have been racing a bit and on one of the SPORTS tracks I managed to lap 4 cars. I also improved my score a bit but I don't think it is going to change anything if I post it

I lapped 3 guys on one of the sport tracks, the most I have ever lapped. I lapped 1 car on 2 of the moon circuits, when usually I would come second on all the moon tracks. I am certainly getting the hang of it. The reason it is not saving is probably the quit key, I will start using it now. I really need to practice on the moon tracks, they are so tight and confusing.
