Rick Dangerous colour problem
Hello, I'm using the following software and have problems with Rick Dangerous both 1 and 2:
WinUAE 2.3.1 ClassicWB ADVSP v26 Preinstalled Rick Dangerous (from whdownload.com) Preinstalled Rick Dangerous 2 (from whdownload.com) This is what my screen looks like: I've downloaded Silk Worm (also from whdownload.com) and it works great! I had A500 when I was young, but inserting floppies, turning the machine on, and playing is all experience I ever had, so I have no idea what is causing this colour problem that you can see in the screenshot. Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist with the problem solving! Edit: Pang also seems to have the same problem as Rick Dangerous, and Bubble Bobble seems to be running a lot faster than normal. I`ve the same or similar problem on my real A1200 040 with Rick Dangerous I. Could be a slave problem. See also whdload mantis bugtracker.

Try booting with no startup-sequence, it might be something thats loaded before WHDLoad that causes the problem.

Maybe you should try emulating an A500 and use the Rick ADF's instead of WHDLoad.
Edit: Or try nikvest's suggestion first. Simultaneous postings. (: |

Thank you! Hvala druze
And thanks to everyone else who replied to this thread! EDIT: Seems like Great Giana Sisters actually need JIT option to be enabled for it to work properly. So I guess the only option is to switch it on/off as needed. Last edited by scymnodon; 29 May 2011 at 16:43. Reason: Updated |

I was thinking half the WHDLoad slaves were broken but it's just a matter of turning off the JIT. That's odd about Giana Sisters needing it to be turned on...! I will have to do some testing myself...
