Thumbs up Amiga news portal?

Are there any Amiga news portals for scene-related news covering demos, games (CAPS, TOSEC, etc.), diskmags and other stuff that cater to the topics discussed on this board? Something like C64.SK, not mainstream news sites like amiga.org and ann which cater more to newer Amigas.

Is there such a need for a portal or has Amiga scene activites for classic unexpanded Amigas (ECS/AGA) totally ceased to be? Maybe it'd make a great addition to the ABIME network and may even help revive some interest in creating new stuff for the classic Amiga.

Just throwing out some thoughts...

Yeah, that's an excellent site, I've known about it for a while. But I was thinking a site that's 100% classic Amiga oriented.

If you find someone who can purge the EAB's information flow, read all the global and amiga scene websites, then post those news to one dedicated section/domain/website on abime.net, I'll be happy to host it

Yeah, Scenenet is another good one. ABIME has everything except for a news page. In fact, it could be easier if people can simply submit stories via a form and then editors can decide to aprove them or not. It might be nice...

Alright, that's cool! I hope this doesn't mean you have to do a lot of work that'll take away from the other ABIME stuff. Anybody got any other ideas?

Bernhardt:hoo Yeah I remember you its been like 2 years or more!... Amazing we meet on this board, I didn't have a slight idea that you were interested in the Amiga scene but its cool

How did everything go with getting anime's? I remember you pretty much disappeared after a few weeks after you traded with a guy for 50cds as I remember?
Its nice to meet you again although this time I cant send Amiga cd's

This site might interest you

Yeah I think that was the last thing I did.... I lost the interest in anime... there was only a few I liked

and then my HD crashed so I lost the good series I had on the hd (and no backup on cd...because I got rid of them)

oh well...I like more english series (futurama...and so on)

I love amiga...I had one when I was 7-8years old... (amiga 500)... then some weeks ago I decided I wanted a new one

so i got a amiga 1200 from ebay...and now iam playing the good old games (superfrog...hurra)

I see well maybe you chose the wrong series to watch. My prefered genre is comedy like Excel saga which is crazy, hehe.

Nice I had an Amiga 500 from back in 1990-91 when I was a kid and it was an awesome mashine! Crongratulations with your Amiga 1200 I never owned an Amiga 1200 myself but I always had it in my mind to buy one back a few years ago but i just never got it started. Superfrog is the best platform game ever made

This thread is going a bit off topic. But the best anime ever is Detective Conan!

There is only one truth!

And so on.

I'm working on the news portal for abime.net v3
What about using those categories ?

News
Events
Projects
Software
Hardware
Web
Misc

not sure yet about "Projects" one, who may be the same as "News".. If I want to post a news about HOL, will it be better in News or Project ? and if I want to post a notice about the IRC engine, may I choose News or Project again ? Things like aGTW or APoV would better fit in Projects area, even if they could fit in news

well, I suggest we will use this list, without "Projects" category.

your opinion ?
