Yes! But I put Update 2.6 on the FTP now anyway, heh.
Been feeling the Amiga Low for a few months now. The interest comes and goes and its been gone for a while now. I'm sure it'll come back after summer. Anyway, 2.6 is rather large and contains all updates that Retr0Play manages in his directory here, until today. I strongly recommend the Tur-WHDLoad_Updater for updating from 2.5 to 2.6 (Or 2.0 to 2.1, 2.2 etc). You'll find it in \Commodore_Amiga\WHDLoad_Packs\Tur-WHDLoad_Updater Big thanks to everyone involded with creating the WHDLoad games. Some games were found in updates previous to 2.6 that did not work if unpacked on a PC. so they have been moved to the Games_WHDLoad_UnpackOnAmiga folder instead. You should remove those games if you used them from the packs here and replace from Games_WHDLoad_UnpackOnAmiga Quote:

Thanks a lot!
Is there a way to turn this into a community effort? I was contemplating making an update pack myself but hesitated to do so because I didn't want there to be multiple sources of update packs. Is there any way to help you with creating the update packs in the future? |

But I'll let the community know once I stop doing them. In reality, if you can't wait for the new pack, just grab all the WHDLoad games and demos from Retr0Play since my last pack upgrade. Its the same thing. |

the addition of the "AGA" suffix to the aga demo in the last update pack, creates a lot of entries that are essentially duplicates of those old without "aga" in the name (eg Nexus7 and Nexus7AGA, Switchback and SwitchbackAGA)

Perhaps the next update batch should be v3.
It would be a clean version of everything done to date so you don't have to apply each update to v2 or worry about having stray old files, or wrongly named versions ect... |

Thanks for checking which demos can be deleted. What about Wild though? Did you accidentally miss that one? 😀

Hi guys!
I just joined the club by buying an A600! I'm setting up the WHDLoad packs atm and I saw that everyone recommends that we use lha on an amiga to unpack some of the files. I've been using 7z to unpack them under windows, and it works fine. I've tested the files in WinUAE and they appear to run fine! You can see too, in 7z that the filenames are correct, where I was using WinRAR earlier and they clearly weren't. But, I've a question: Does anyone have any DAT files (for clrmame or similar) for each release? I had a go at making one for the 2.6 set, since I've finished unpacking, and I really couldn't get DIR2DAT to work that well. Has anyone else got it to work, or something similar? (or better even?) |

The updater is nice. But under destition I can select only c: drive?
Later it is possible to edit the ini, but not before. |

Slightly offtopic but here's an Atari ST demo with some Elite Dangerous photos that were converted to the ST's 320x200x16 color mode: [ Show youtube player ] Thanks for the awesome work on the WHDLoad packs! |

@Turran
Regarding the cleanup, I found some more small issues. Seems that it is not possible to copy "AceBallAGA", "AceBallAGAPL" & "Zool2AGA" to my A1200 using a FAT32 formatted harddisk. Really funny, AmigaDOS cannot read some files in these games and DOopus is copying the files, but with a wrong later not working size. Never seen something like this before. The game WildWestWorld is German as far as I know, but I have to check. |

And if possible it would be nice to start from a new base collection, like 2.6 now and not to update all the files. Because your updater is only working for Windows and I what I would need is an updater for AmigaOS. Just copying the full 2.6 collection to my A1200 using USB, pain in the ass, copying since 2 days files.
