Problem with Winuae and 50hz to 60hz
My lcd monitor is fixed at 60 hz and 75 hz screen refresh rates.
When I select 60hz in winuae to make the moving objects smooth (like scrolling games etc) weird things happen like faster games, clock going insane. And there is a visible scanline effect from up to down that tears moving icons in two. I have a similar thing going with my real Amiga with CybervisionPPC with CyberGfX. Somehow I think even the VGA monitors refresh rate is tied to Amiga's custom chips in a way. Ie: I set the refresh rate to 60hz using AHI tool to set Paula 22khz to higher and instantly my 1024-768 16 CGX screen via CVisionPPC becomes much smoother. (when I created a resolution with 60hz refresh) Is it possible to set the refresh to 60hz but not make it ntsc speed? Or is it a limitation (or feature) of Amigaos? I know the question sounds a bit stupid. But this is the most technical I can get in English Last edited by ancalimon; 04 July 2007 at 22:53. |

Vsync enabled = everything is synced to selected refresh rate. Thats how Amiga hardware works.
