uaeunp still has trouble ripping all formats from an FDI image.
Hey there, I know this is something that was previously discussed before (and indeed I recently made a related thread in the 'Support.Other' section), but I've been thinking about those example FDIs from Disk2FDI once more and proceeded to try again with the uaeunp tool.
The current build available (19-08-2011) manages to extract a .ima file alongside .adf and .ext.adf, and closer inspection through a hex-editor suggests it's the PC side, but it seems the filesystem hasn't been replicated correctly, as loading the ima file through WinImage or IsoBuster results in no files being displayed, as if it's an empty image. The annoying thing is that browsing through the hex code does reveal file/dir references and all the data inside them - it's just the usual programs fail to detect them. And, well, uaeunp is obviously still giving me nothing from the ST side - no image that I could use with any ST emulator, that's for sure. This is the effect I get with both '*' and '**' in my command parameters. If there's anything else I'm supposed to mention, let me know... |

Confirmed, not all PC multiformat disks decoded correctly.
uaeunp updated to 0.8f which should fix it. I can't be 100% sure without having original PC image. Isn't ST exactly same as IMA? Same physical format, some logical differences that uaeunp don't need to care about. |
