Glad someone in the community got it - I was looking at that as it had been listed a couple of times (was the seller called Rebecca or something like that and near Birmingham)...
I couldn't justify another 2000 ! Or explaining to my wife why I was just nipping out for a few hours |

Thats the one, i did zoom in on the pics and thought i spotted the 2632, but it was hopeful.
I just wanted to replace my a2000 that i had to sell during my crisis, so i'm over the moon at the extras! |

Excellent - I remember spending bloody ages with amiga.resource.cx and those photos trying to work out what it was, and came to the conclusion it was the 2630 with the DKB, but the DKB looked completely empty.
What version of agnus is in it, and what rev board is it? I think there's a simple jumper hack for some 2000s to go to PAL, however there might not be headers on the jumper so you might need to solder. And that's assuming it's the right agnus and board - the whole agnus numbering etc just leaves me cold |

Not sure on the agnus revision...i will have to open it up again tomorrow and have a look, the mobo is revision 6, if that hacks doable i'd be grateful for more info on it nick My 1048s-d2 displays it happily though....but would prefer it to be PAL. |

A simple question of swapping the original 28.6363 MHz crystal for the PAL version (28.4343 MHz). Then moving the J102 "jumper" on the board (cut the connection from Agnus #41 pin and ground) and adding a 4k7 resistor to +5V (routing the other resistor's lead to pin #41). Revision 6 motherboards normally have the 8372 Agnus, who accepts PAL/NTSC operation. |

BTW: you don't need to swap the crystal, most games (and WHDlload) and apps will run happily just doing the J102 hack.

Sounds fairly simple...thanks Rkauer!
How about converting the 110v supply to 220-240 volt...is that simple? |

Yes, buy another one . I don't think there's a switch on the back of the A2000 PSU for 110/220V operation, so your options are to buy another A2000 220V PSU or go for an AT or ATX PSU with an appropriate cable... (If you go ATX, you need to move a jumper to source the 50Hz tick from VBL rather than the PSU)

Fantastic
I'm struggling to use 64MB on the 4000... Good luck with 100MB . Create a RAD disk and be completely without hard drive once the RAD is initialised? Chuffed that you're back into miggys! |
