For all i know there may be a problem with the network card....maybe its buggered !

Thanks Jmmijo......I tried to ping the Amiga from the PC and it reported 100% loss of packets....i.e.couldn't see the Amiga !
Haven't tried it the other way round yet,but i will take your advice and grab this tool from Aminet just to see if the Amiga can see the PC. |

You should also see some activity on the LED's via the HUB that you have connected as well. Look too for the link light, this indicates a good connection between the machine and the hub
