App for making music?
Can anyone direct me to an app that can make music? I'm pretty much in the dark about such things, i have a disk of OCTAMED 4, but it doesn't run on my Amiga.
My Amiga is a standard A600. Has a CF card via PCMCIA. |

Protracker was my music creation weapon of choice version 2.3b I think it was.

I use 3.62 which has a lot nicer editing functions. Before it came out I was an avid 2.3D user.

I like the preset lists of the 2.x series which I don't think 3.x had, I could be wrong though. I used to keep all my samples on st-xx disks and save them as song files to st-00 which would then ask for the right disks (or would load them from assigns once I had a hard drive!)

Hehe, completely different workflow from me then. I usually just sample things as I track and then save as mod. Never touched either the preset list editor or the 'save song' button. But 3.62 has both PLST and PLST.ED in it.

Actually, to be honest I'd not seen that one only the early 3.x ones. That one looks good, downloading now!

Yeah the earlier ones left much to wish for. I wasn't impressed enough to switch from 2.3D until 3.62 came out. Hope you like it mate.

If you ever used mod2smp (v3.62) you will miss it if not present. What about OctamedSoundStudio?
There exists some nice sample synth creation software if interested? |
