Stuck in Crazy Cars II (far in the game)
Hi,
I just can't understand why the checkpoint in level 6 never gets reached, although I'm sure to have driven the right way, as all the exits appear as drawn on the map. That the checkpoint doesn't get reached could easily be proved as I drove road 160 in eastern direction but ended up driving past BOTH exits for road 191. That's shit, since if the FINISH point on the map is really the one you're supposed to go, it must be *before* you reach those exits. I've also attached a full map so that you do not have to press F2 all the time. (emulator power! ) I've uploaded a save-state to the zone which might help solve this tricky task. Thanks in advance! Odd ....
I personally finished this game more than once but I never had such problems ... I have a look at it, if it´s not working I may try my original on A500 this WE ! //update : Hmmm, same issue here .... Last edited by RetroMan; 28 June 2006 at 23:21. |

Thanks for testing, I also tested with the WHDload release (installed from SPS), same thing.
Maybe I'm just doing something terribly wrong. But I really thought I CAN read maps Maybe a nifty second protection in the game? Last edited by andreas; 29 June 2006 at 02:03. |

OK, just coming back from playing it on my REAL A1000.
Images: Crazy Cars II (1989)(Titus).adf and Crazy Cars II (1989)(Titus)[cr DASH][h Blasters Inc][KS1.2] Same thing!! Level 6 reached, kept going on 89, took 40 on right, again 89 on left, 160 on right. Car raced along until the 666 junction, which is MUCH TOO FAR: the FINISH point was a lot of miles before, so it just ran through without hitting the checkpoint, which it was supposed to hit. Something is seriously fishy here. Don't you guys think? Last edited by andreas; 30 July 2006 at 18:31. |

I haven´t come to play this game again YET ! But if my brains still intact there was a bug described in ASM or Power Play that days, that a waypoint on the map is in the wrong place ...
Could be wrong but that´s what I recall And I DO NOW that I played through this game two or more times, so it IS possible, but hey, it´s way too long back in the past |

As absolutely every image I've come across has this problem! Hey, I have an idea. Maybe the C64 version is OK? |
