New old Amiga game: Złoty Medalion / The Golden Medallion / Das Goldmedaillon [1997]
I know I've already posted about it in the Polish games thread, but only just had the time to give it a test, and it appears that there is also an English and Deutsch version of the game in the full game!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Grab it here [official site] (lzx archive, hd-only) Before running the game: - edit the file ZM.pref and enter the exact path where you put the game folder. - on expanded configs you HAVE TO run NoFastMem (SYS:System/NoFastMem)! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Or grab it here [mirror] (lha archive, hd-only, preinstalled, edited, script included, ready to run from SYS:Games) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is also an early preview-demo available, grab it here. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [ Show youtube player ]; recorded by s2325 [ Show youtube player ]; recorded by frikilokooo Tested on a real A1200 with a Blizzard IV 030/50MHz 32MB, and WinUAE with a similar config. Enjoy this cute little AMOS adventure game. Last edited by Shoonay; 18 February 2012 at 13:30. |

SYS:Tools/NoFastMem
EDITED: The right path is of course SYS:System/NoFastMem Last edited by Shoonay; 10 February 2012 at 13:45. |

Works nice here (assigned ZM1:,ZM2: and ZM3: and altered ZM.prefs). Is there an existing walkthrough?

No walkthrough that I know of, only seen an early interview with the authors in ACS 3/96 that I didn't even remember these days...
PS: You didn't have to assign them also, editing ZM.prefs works fine. But I guess it won't harm either Last edited by Shoonay; 10 February 2012 at 13:14. |

For some reason I can not make a script to remove fastmemory and run the game,so I have chosen to make a script to remove fastmemory only and after I run the icon of the game

Sorry, of course the NoFastMem util hides in SYS:System, not SYS:Tools
Now creating a script to run the game is easy: Rename Z.info to ZM.info Right-click it and choose Info Change it's icon type from [Tool] to [Project] Input it's Default Tool: IconX Create a new text file called ZM and type in: Code:
Run SYS:System/NoFastMem SYS:Games/ZlotyMedalion/Z Run SYS:System/NoFastMem Done! Now you can go to the game's folder and double click on the ZM icon to run the game. Still have to reset after playing, to get back your Fast memory, don't know of any way to bring it up without that. Last edited by Shoonay; 10 February 2012 at 14:04. |

I have managed to advance to level five at the moment The game is very good, shame it has no music or sounds ingame though.
It deserves an entry in HOL right now. This video has another version of the game with slightly different backgrounds and it's the floppy disk version, isn't it?,where can I obtain it please? Last edited by frikilokooo; 11 February 2012 at 11:34. |

Was this game commercial release?,credits of the game are big for a free game in my opinion and the game is very professional except for the lack of sound in game.I am still playing in seventh level under the sea,it's not a short game!.The graphics looks nice and are well animated, they remind me to Gobliiins.

Nope, I don't think it was ever released commercially.
In the preview the authors mention it will get released at the end of summer vacations of 1996, but aside that and the interview in ACS 3/96 I don't remember any news about the game anywhere. Last edited by Shoonay; 13 February 2012 at 15:16. |

Hello guys, I'm really looking forward to playing this but so far I haven't managed to get it to run, neither on WinUAE nor on my real Amiga. I did everything you said but when I double click on the icon the screen goes black for a split second and then returns to Workbench. I have an A1200 68020 10MB RAM.
